Biography

Dr. Dipak Gayen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Central University of Rajasthan. He specializes in genomics, proteomics, molecular biology and genetic engineering of plants.

Dr. Gayen has combined his expertise in plant molecular biology, particularly nutritional genomics with cell biology techniques. His research has made significant progress in analyzing chloroplast and mitochondrial proteomes for understanding molecular stress adaptation mechanisms under dehydration in crop plants.

Prior to joining CURAJ, Dr. Gayen completed his postdoctoral training as a Fulbright Fellow at Cornell University, USA, and as a National Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi.
